Who We Are

Rafaela Pereira is originally from Brazil but grew up in Finland and the United States. She is a senior at Loyola University Chicago majoring in Global Studies and minoring in Spanish Language and Literature, and French. At Loyola, Rafaela is the Outreach Director of the UNICEF club, where she is in charge of communicating their events to the student body and spreading awareness about their work. Her international exposure sparked her interest in social justice in relation to immigration, climate change, and gender equality. Rafaela is excited to continue supporting the Simmons Center's mission of global collaboration and positive development!
