Combating COVID-19 with The Simple Good’s SEL Art Book

http://www.thesimplegood.org/

Congratulations to Simmons Center member The Simple Good on receiving a grant and the support of the Chicago Bulls! The grant will allow The Simple Good to continue offering the youth across Chicago the ability to take care of their mental health and learn coping skills, which are needed during this time, through their Social Emotional Learning Based Art Book. The SEL Art Book focuses on combating the mental health and isolation effects caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, more than 3,000 SEL Art Books have been requested from partner schools across the city. This resource contains reflective activities, meditations, and beautiful coloring pages. The project serves to help bridge the inequalities present in Chicago around access to education and mental health supports. This is no ordinary art book, because it contains art pieces from diverse global artists. The book features artists like Alice Pasquini (Italy), Oak Oak (France), Stinkish (Colombia), Ivan Vazquez (Chicago), Richard Colman (San Francisco), and many more! This book is suited for kids and adults so make sure to support The Simple Good by requesting an SEL Art Book for yourself or donate one to the youth of Chicago. For every book purchase you will be able to sponsor a book to a TSG student in need.
