Day of Dignity, an initiative of Chicago Refugee Coalition and Islamic Relief USA, will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. CST at Sullivan High School (affectionately known as Refugee High) in the Roger's Park neighborhood. You can help support this effort by(1) joining our planning committee; (2) donating supplies and or (3) securing services for the event.
The Chicago Refugee Coalition aims to provide holistic support. We are currently looking for service providers and plan to tentatively offer: Dental Cleanings/Exams; Resume Preparation & Interview Coaching; Culturally Compassionate Mental Wellness Information; Medical Screenings (i.e., Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Vaccinations, etc.); Legal Consultations/Know Your Rights Seminars; Hot Meal Service; Grocery Distribution; School Supplies; Haircuts; and much more!
