Who We Are

Fabiola Avila is a recent graduate from Denison University where she majored in History with a concentration in Latin and Caribbean studies and minored in Psychology. She was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and is excited to return to Chicago to work for her home community. For the past 8 years she has worked and volunteered at different nonprofits in the city with a focus on community outreach/interaction. It was through her experiences at these nonprofits that she grew to understand the importance of community building, and is excited to bring her passion for community work to the Simmons Center for Global Chicago.
