On March 15th, we hosted a dynamic conversation about the impact stories have in our work as non-profits partnering with communities around the world and in Chicago. Led by our guest speakers: Kathy K. Im, MacArthur Foundation and Nissa Rhee, Borderless Magazine, the discussion addressed the need to identify and check our biases and interrogate our organizational practices. We identified tools and strategies to help move us toward more ethical practices- ultimately to better center and lift the stories of our partners. An engaged audience challenged the panelists with thoughtful observations and questions. Small group discussions afforded more time to delve into the nuances of this challenging topic.

This symposium was full of insightful remarks and conversations so please use this link to access our visual report.
